Saved for a reason

How to organise screenshots so they become useful

Turn scattered screenshots into references with context: what you saved, why it matters and how to find it again.

To get started

Give each screenshot you want to keep a reason and group it with its topic or project. In CUBE you can save it as a note, review the result and search through the context you remember.

01

Start with screenshots you still need

You do not need to organise your entire camera roll at once. Start with images for a current project: furniture, an address, a recommendation or instructions.

Ask which detail would make you return to that image. If it no longer has a clear use, you do not need to invent a category to justify keeping it.

02

Give the image a sentence of context

Share the screenshot to CUBE or add it in the app. Review its preparation and keep the original for visual details.

“This is the lamp that fits beside the sofa” adds something the image cannot explain alone: your intention. If the screenshot came from a website, save its link when you have it.

03

Group by how you will use it

Collect living room screenshots under “Home” and trip screenshots under “Weekend away”. The format is an image, but what you want to remember is a purchase or a plan.

Use filters for people, places or topics CUBE has identified when those clues are enough. You do not need to remember the image filename.

04

Return to the original for important details

Small text, tables and numbers deserve a check in the image. A prepared note can make searching easier without replacing every detail of the original.

If CUBE shows a processing failure, review the notice. Do not assume all the information in the screenshot is available to chat.

Questions that often come next

Does CUBE automatically organise my whole camera roll?

This method applies to images you add or share to CUBE. It does not import the whole camera roll on its own.

Should I save a screenshot or a link?

It depends on the use. A screenshot keeps a visual reference; a link takes you back to the current source. Save both when they add different information.
